Acquired Data Solutions (ADS) is seeking a dynamic Sales/Business Development (BD) Representative with a strong technical background to drive growth across both government and commercial markets. This role is ideal for an energetic, extroverted professional who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and engaging directly with clients in person and virtually. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities across federal, state, and commercial sectors.
  • Leverage technical expertise to position ADS's solutions in test automation, systems integration, AI/ML, and cybersecurity.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads, writing quotations and proposals to contract negotiation and close.
  • Build strong relationships with government contracting officers, integrators, and commercial decision-makers.
  • Represent ADS at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions that meet customer mission requirements.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and sales forecasting using CRM tools.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 - 7 years of sales experience in government and/or commercial technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong technical acumen in engineering, IT, AI/ML, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging executives, engineers, and program managers.
  • Highly extroverted, driven, and proactive in client-facing engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling into DoD, DHS, TSA or Intelligence Community Organizations.
  • Knowledge of federal contracting processes and vehicles.
  • Existing relationships in the DC metro area.
  • Familiarity with NI hardware/software, test systems, or AI/ML-based solutions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • CRM Proficiency: Skilled in pipeline management, sales forecasting, and customer engagement tracking (e.g. Monday.com)
  • Proposal Development: Experience drafting, reviewing, and contributing to technical proposals and RFP responses.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Ability to structure and close deals that align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to balance prospecting, client meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical teams and leadership.
